This is a must watch video for every educator. In grades 4 and above educators should then turn around and use these when teaching any lesson where students are researching information.

I started blogging in 2005 and found it such a powerful way to reflect and share my thinking about technology, this generation, and how we prepare students for their future not our past.

Thank you for this! Even though I knew many of these tips (they can be found at Google by clicking on more/even more/web search features) this will be great to share with students and staff – they will much prefer the video!

  4. Hey Jeff, great find here. Thanks for sharing.

Do you know of anywhere we could find a list of all of these Google tips – not in video form but in text so it can be quickly scanned?

  5. Thanks for sharing the video.
I think it raises many questions for educators such as:
How do we design lessons and assignment to get students to create new material and not just ‘borrow’ what’s out there?
How much remixing is required to make it new?
How can teachers build literacy skills with their students?
and perhaps the biggest question is how to we get teachers to know they even need to make digital literacy a priority in their already over stretched day?
