Yes, I agree, Greg Israel and I count ourselves lucky that we have two half-time technology integration specialists at KIS were we have 700 computers and 80 teachers between the middle school and high school. It is rare to have that much support; plus, we have Bruce Roadside as a tech coordinator, so really three people. It makes the teachers feel comfortable using the technology, because they know they have support when and where they need it.

The teachers at ISB are incredibly fortunate to have such a powerful tech team. Teaching and learning is truly affected in a big way as a result of their creativity, support, and forward-thinking.

WoW! 2 tech people for an elementary school of 70 teachers? The school and the teachers need to know how amazing that is. My district felt Tech Specialist weren’t needed in our high schools for next school year. Although we have 700 computers, 150 full-time faculty and staff, and 1700 students (all of which have their own accounts) in my school alone, the district felt that the work of a tech specialist can be done part-time by a media specialist. Each of the high schools only had 1 tech specialist as it was, next year each high school will have none. I fear we are going to lose the momentum we have e built up over the past several years. To all of the teschers at ISB, never forget just how lucky you are…
