Go outside and make friends
Last week I sat down with the kids in my elective class who run teentek.com and podcasted a session with them about the class and the Microsoft Surface. At about the 8 minute mark one of the students says something to the affect that:
“Parents don’t get it. They think we need to go outside and ride our bikes to make friends like they did. We make friends by blowing each other up.”
We were talking about MMORPG and how these social-games are different from the everyday flash games that kids play to, in their words, “waste time.” It was an interesting conversation for sure.
