Whenever I record a session at a conference, I always make sure to ask the speakers permission.  I ask them whether I have permission to post their session in its entirety as well as whether I can post clips from it. I have had a few people ask me not to broadcast the entire session, but even then they general consent to allowing soundbites to be broadcast.
